In order for you to attract people’s attention toward your blog, you have to understand about your visitors’ behavior when they are visiting your blog. By knowing about what they are doing on your blog, you can improve the necessary aspects of your blog in order to pass the small tests that will determine whether your blog will be considered a good blog or not. Here are 5 things people do when they are visiting your blog:

1. Read Your Content

First of all, they will take a look at your content and read some of it. If you can provide useful and interesting information for your audience, you will be able to pass the test of content quality. If your blog is recognized as a blog that delivers highly valuable content that is worth bookmarking, you will be able to attract their attention further toward your blog. So, people will usually read your content and determine whether you have good content to offer or not. If they find that you have a good content to offer, they will hop into the next test. If not, then they will simply leave your blog.

2. Take A Look At Your Blog Design

How your blog is presented to your audience will give big impact in your audience’s perception toward your blog. When people examine your blog design, they are seeking whether your blog is professionally designed, appealing, as well as comfortable or not. If you pass the design quality test, you will be able to impress your audience further. Your blog will have their instant trust and it will be seen as a reputable blog in your niche. If not, people will simply hop to another blog that interests them.

3. Check The Frequency Of Your Blog Updates

The next thing that people will see when they are visiting your blog is your blog update frequency. In other words, they will check the last post that you write. If it is recent enough, then they will conclude that your blog is updated frequently, and thus they will consider your blog as a reliable source of information. There are many blogs that are not getting updated frequently, and people usually don’t like that. Those dormant blogs will usually be considered as unreliable source of information. So, if your blog is updated frequently, then people will come to your blog again. If your blog is considered as a dormant blog, they will simply forget it.

How active is your blog? People want to see whether your blog is highly commented or not. For instance, if your blog has lots of comments, then people will consider your blog as an active blog. Thus, your blog will be considered as a good blog and they might want to participate in the discussion within your blog. If your blog doesn’t have any comment on it, it will be considered as a silent blog, which is another term to call a blog that is boring. So, when people see a healthy discussion in your blog, they will want to get involved with your blog further. But, when people see only blank comment section, they might not want to come back to your blog again.

5. Check The Posts That You Have

The last thing that people will do before they conclude whether your blog is a good blog or not is checking the blog posts that you have. Apparently, they will take a look at popular posts in your blog first. Then, they will see your archives, related posts, and any link to other posts that you provide. It is necessary for them to spend some time in your blog for a while, just to see whether they miss something important or not. If they find many interesting posts in your blog, the will usually stick on your blog and come back to your blog later to read more. If not, then they will simply leave your blog without wasting any more time.

Those are 5 things that people do when they are visiting your blog. Most of your blog visitors do the same thing in your blog. They want to make sure whether your blog is good enough for them or not. So, it is very important for you to improve the 5 most important aspects in your blog, which are content, design, update frequency, comment section, and blog posts, in order to keep your visitors happy with your blog and turn them into your loyal blog readers.

Thus, when your guest post gets published, the loyal readers of that blog will read your post and follow your link. This will usually happen within few hours after your guest post gets published in the host blog.

2. The Pickier You Are, The More Successful Your Guest Blogging Will Be

If you think that your guest blogging campaign is not going anywhere, you have to be pickier in choosing the blog that will be your host. Why? Not all blogs that accept guest post will be good for your campaign. First of all, you have to choose a popular blog that already has a big loyal audience. Second, you need to choose a blog that already has an active community. In this way, your guest post will get read by many people who will then follow the link to your blog. You have to be very selective in choosing your host blog if you want to make a real impact with your guest post.

3. Your Guest Post Will Quickly Be Accepted If You Are A Regular Commenter Of That Blog

If you think that it is very hard for your guest post to be accepted by the host blog, you have to put a strategy in place. In order to make your post get accepted by the host blog, you have to make yourself familiar with the blog. The 70-20-10 rule of family budgeting, a wise principle to save

Have you heard of the 70-20-10 principle of budgeting? To be successful in overcoming present and future financial trouble, an individual must learn how to rule his money. At the moment he must be able to manage his wealth as well as to prepare for the coming years. In order to be successful in dealing his finances, the 70-20-10 principle can be applied with ease.

Life is like a vapor in the wind. You can be strong today but tomorrow you are weak. Truly, when you wake up in the morning, you can’t tell if you can reach the evening. If you sleep at night, you can not claim that you can open your eyes in the morning, for many have taken sleep and never have awaken. While life is too short, there’s also only a span of time for a person to be durable enough to work and save while the source is flowing.

I heard about the 70-20-10 rule several years ago. It is very effective in navigating our finances to avoid financial distress. I believe that the 70-20-10 principle when applied is better than nothing. It will bring forth financial freedom to a family.

How to apply the 70-20-10? Let’s start with the 70% first.

70% – This percentage will be spent on a naive lifestyle. You get your living expenses (rent, food, clothing, children’s allowances, gasoline, load, electric bills, internet connection, etc…) from this amount and live without overspending for the month. Be firm to stay within the limit. This may not be easy in the first month of application but you will be happy when you spent within the parameter. Before doing this, you have to talk to your husband or wife so that he / she will understand about the simple lifestyle you are entering to. Some call this also as revolving fund.

20% – All of us want to improve our net worth. In other words we want to get rich for the glory of God. The 20% should go to savings or investments. We can place the 10% for retirement, 10% for emergencies (medical expenses or car repairs). You can also break it like below:

—10% retirement or get investment with life insurance
— 5% emergencies
— 5% If you want to have new computer, smartphones, and car, then you can separate this amount. 5% can also be set aside for your upcoming vacation.

10% – As a Christian, the 10 percent is called a tithe. I just can’t imagine myself forgetting my God whom I owe all the things and money that I have received. Giving the 10% back to God would be the greatest investment that a man can ever do and it is the wisest because of the return. According to the bible, the ROI would be “so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it”.

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse that there may be food in my house. ‘Test me in this,’ says the LORD Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it’” (Malachi 3:10).
What about offering?

I will not leave this question unanswered for I didn’t cover in the 70-20-10. You can extract the offering from the 70 or 20 percent or both. Certainly, the offering is not the 10 percent.

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver,” (2 Corinthians 9:7).

How to Make Money Online Blogging in the Philippines

Back in 2004, I started blogging using my AOL account. Given the privilege to live in the land of “opportunities” called the United States for nine years, I installed the AOL CD which I usually found it on our mailbox. I knew I can write but I had a hard time getting my posts live. I stayed with my AOL blog until I found a better platform which was the Geocities. I can still remember my url: www.geocities.com/gbaybayan. Because of the floating ads at the right side of my blog, I desired of finding another platform, blogger.com. I never dreamed of making money through my blog. I always wanted just to express myself through the articles and hopefully find some audience. I spent about four hours a day just mastering the blogger or blogger platform at that time. Here”s one of my blog at blogger: lastdaysnow.blogspot.com. It came to pass that within blogger is the “heaven sent” Adsense in which it opens my eyes that anything is possible under the sun. I promoted my blogs though forums and messageboards at that time for those are the only ways I knew. Blogger is the gateway for me to meet friends and to buy my own domain.

To make money online is not an overnight success. It takes time and effort to fully understand how it works. When I kept publishing my articles, I saw some $0.05 per click in my Adsense earnings. It took me about a year to get the $100 threshold in Adsense back in those days. I never gave up and I continued believing that I am going to pursue blogging as my part-time job.

Once your blog is running and you are publishing articles, you can make money online in many ways by placing ads such as:

1. Adsense – Many publishers find Adsense as the best way to earn money online. By placing Adsense in the blog, the maximum possible earnings is on the way. Adsense is easy to incorporate it in your blog. Just copy and paste the code and it is set to go. However, many complain about the difficulties in entering into the Adsense program. Back in the days, it”s was just easy to get approved. Nowadays, it’s like threading a needle. But as long as you have the traffic and the contents, you will get approved in Adsense.

2. Infolinks – It is a compliment to Adsense. It”s easy to get an account. It allows you to integrate ad unites into your pages. Infolinks is the best partner of Adsense through my experience. As a publisher, you will get the payment through Paypal. Though some of the readers are annoyed by the Ads, it is still a possible alternative to utilize your content to make money.

3. Private Sponsorships – As your blog becomes authoritative because of your great content, company’s will contact you to place their ads in your blog. Sometimes big companies approaches you to offer certain amount just to place their ads in a given period of time. Sometimes they will ask you for a month just to test if it’s worth their money. If they found out that your blog has great traffic, they acquire ad placements for a year.

4. Affiliate Programs – There are plenty of affiliate programs that a blogger should try. In affiliate programs, the visitors of your blog will be a potential buyer. Once a visitor purchases a product through those programs, you will get a commission. Amazon is one of the most popular affiliate programs today yet you can also try CJ and ShareaSale. Most of the advertisers want decent amount of traffic before you get their approval.
5. E-Books – Using your blog as an avenue to sell is one of the ways to make money. Blogging is giving up free information to your readers. But to write your success story and sell it through your blog is another side of the coin. It mean”s that the E-Book is unique and you haven’t shared yet in your blog. Many bloggers write E-Books on how they build their blog and found success.

6. Sell Your Blog – If your blog reaches into a full proportion, many rich people will notice about your traffic. They will see the potential of your blog and they will just contact you to buy your blog. Your blog is a great possession like a real estate that others want to have. There are many factors that will contribute to the success of your journey in blogging. Just take it one step at a time.

10 Reasons why God wants you to prosper financially

One of the challenges of our generation is live in prosperity. With the changing economic atmosphere, our financial status are affected quickly. Everytime the Federal Reserve do something, all the economic experts of the world watch. In just matter of hours, stocks plunged deep.

While we can trust on our country’s economic strategies to uplift the lifestyle of the people, let us be reminded that we have a God who wants to prosper us regardless of the economy. God desires His people to experience financial freedom. He loves to see His children living abundant life.

When it comes to financial prosperity, there remains two worldviews that entangled Christians most of the time. However, I already leaned on the other side believing that God wants us to be rich. God has plenty of promises about financial prosperity for His children.

Reasons God wants to prosper you

1. He is the source of all good things

“If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” Matthew 7:11. Our Father in heaven is the giver of good gifts.

Romans 11:36 says, “Everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory” (NLT). Clearly, everything comes from the Lord.

2. He loves blessing His people

God delights to see us living in prosperity.

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.” Psalm 35:27.

3. Jesus redeemed us from financial curse

“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.” (vv. 13–14).

In Deuteronomy Chapter 28, there are curses and blessings. In breaking the Law or God’s commandments, there’s a threefold curse: spiritual death, sickness and poverty. Under the new covenant, the blessing given to Abraham also is threefold: spiritual, physical and financial. Christ became a substitute at the cross to redeem us.

4. Jesus came that we might have life more abundantly

In John Chapter 10:10, Jesus tells His disciples, “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” (NLT). Jesus came so that we live with abundance.

5. God wants to bless us to be rich to show forth His glory

How can we say we have a great and mighty God if we are living in poverty?

1 Thessalonians 2:12, “You should live in a way that proves you belong to the God who calls you into his kingdom and glory” (GW).

6. God’s promises must be fulfilled

The reward of a seeking believer is for God to take care of us.

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33.

7. God wants to bless us financially to help spread the good news

“You know the grace shown by our Lord Jesus Christ. Even though he was rich, he became poor to help you. Because he became poor, you can become rich.” 2 Corinthians 8:9

“But remember the Lord your God. He gives you the ability to produce wealth. That shows he stands by the terms of his covenant. He promised it with an oath to your people long ago. And he’s still faithful to his covenant today…” (Deuteronomy 8:18)

8. We are not the tail but the head

Deuteronomy 28:10-13 “So all the peoples of the earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will be afraid of you. 11“The LORD will make you abound in prosperity, in the offspring of your body and in the offspring of your beast and in the produce of your ground, in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give you.

12“The LORD will open for you His good storehouse, the heavens, to give rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hand; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. 13“The LORD will make you the head and not the tail, and you only will be above, and you will not be underneath, if you listen to the commandments of the LORD your God, which I charge you today, to observe them carefully, 14and do not turn aside from any of the words which I command you today, to the right or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

9. God wants us to honor him through financial blessings

Proverbs 3:9-10
Honor the LORD from your wealth
And from the first of all your produce;
So your barns will be filled with plenty
And your vats will overflow with new wine.

We can honor God through our finances by giving our tithe faithfully. (Malachi 3:10)

10. Even the prodigal son gets the best when he returned to his Father

No matter how far a person has gone away from God, when he returns he will get the best. God wants the best for His children.

Luke 15:22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet…’

After presenting to you the 10 reasons why God wants to prosper you, it is up to you to live by it. Your life will never be the same again if you fully understand that God wants to prosper you.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” 3rd John 2 (KJV).
